Gallery of Players from the Illustrated American 1894 Theater Book

This is very nice- from 1894-1896.  Parts 1 through 9 attractively bound.  Each part has 22 full-page pictures and over 100 portraits in character.  A must-have for anyone who loves the history of the theatre.  Edited by Austin Brereton.  Measures just over 9 1/2 x 12.  Some bumping, some wear up spine (small tears in leather).  Gorgeous black and white photos throughout- you don't find the entire set of nine very often, let alone nicely bound!  You will spend hours admiring the pictures and learning about some of the early stars of theatre- including Sarah Bernhardt!
