Swap Change Ticket 1940 Canisteo Drug Company NY Lot of 2 R Thomas Lincoln
Essentially a game of chance outlawed by the FTC. The Volume Sales Promotion Co which was R Thomas Lincoln and Henry Thompson out of Denver Colorado would have the retailers give out tickets in lieu of change. The customer would save up tickets and then swap them for letter cards which was basically a lottery as the customer could win from $1 to $27 on the letter cards. Interesting piece of history- 10 cent and 50 cent tickets, advertising stamped on back.
